This toy has some great features. The swirly texture is great for teeth, if you can get your dog interested in it enough to give it a good chew. I like the size which works for a small dog and would not be too small to be of concern that it might be swallowed by a big dog. The rubber makes it very flexible so the toy will bounce when thrown making it a good retrieve toy. My only problem was that my dog wasn't particularly interested in it as he likes a noisy toy!!
